I write children's poetry. Well, actually, I write novels, and song lyrics, and short stories, and slam poetry, and whatever moves me. I never stop writing. I was surprised, then, when after years of thinking about being a published author, it was with rhyming verse picturebooks. But now it all make sense.

From story-boarding, to hoofing it at Farmer's Markets, to late night phone calls, and long heart-to-heart planning sessions, we love working together. We are truly partners in this journey and I think it shows in our books. I am so grateful to have Carla as my Illustrator, but I am even more grateful to have her as my Friend (in title case, of course).
